About the event
This mindfulness meditation retreat is hosted by the Oxford Buddhist Society in association with the Oxford Existential Meditation Society.
Building upon the foundations laid in our first retreat, this meditation retreat invites participants to deepen mindfulness through sustained attention, wise reflection, and gentle inquiry. Drawing from the Buddha’s teachings, the focus shifts from learning how to be mindful to understanding how mindfulness transforms experience. Through guided meditation, walking meditation, Yoga, and shared reflections, participants will explore how mindfulness reveals impermanence, cultivates clarity, and supports compassionate responses to daily life. The retreat offers practical guidance for integrating mindfulness beyond formal practice — into relationships, work, and moments of challenge.
Open to both newcomers and returning practitioners, this retreat provides a supportive space to strengthen continuity of practice and walk the path with greater confidence, balance, and insight.
